| A & B |
#1. Registration,
etc. - divide the 5 tasks at the beginning among
both. B makes sure the Problems and Obstacles sheet is
completed and picked up - and tallied! All tasks in #1
would be very difficult for just one person. There is a
lot going on. |
| |
|
| A |
#2. The Job Interview Role Play - is a major
piece and can stand alone. B has time to review his/her upcoming
steps and begin to tally Problems and Obstacles sheets. |
| |
|
| B |
#3. 9-Dots - it is an awkward transition
from the job interview to a lecture mode, but B can be prepared
to take over while A removes chairs from up front, etc. |
| |
|
| B |
#4. Orientation - steps
3 and 4 don't necessarily "cluster" but
certainly can because the lesson from the 9-dots leads naturally
to the orientation - explaining why we are stuck within the
9-dots about our own potential and strengths. This lecture
takes quite some preparation so is a major piece also. It could
be done by A with a 9-Dots "breather", but then A
gets the 2 most difficult steps in this section. While B is
speaking, A has time to review for steps 5 & 6. |

|
| A (B help) |
#5. Early GE - B can help pass out crayons
and paper while A continues the directions. This eases the
flow of this part. (Someone remembered the crayons, right?!) |
| |
|
| A |
#6. Pair on 2 - #5 and
#6 cluster together, they are both about identifying Good Experiences
so it makes sense to have the same person for "continuity".
B completes tally of Problems and Obstacle sheets and prepares
for #7. |
| |
|
| B |
#7. Review Results of Problems
and Obstacles and Pre-work - B collected and tallied
the Problems and Obstacles sheets so does this step. B will
collect pre-work and review [with A if desired] to pick a "demo".
Since B is dealing with the Pre-work, they keep continuity
by doing
the Demonstration - Step #9 (another "major" piece).
And so on ….. |

This arrangement incorporates the 5 factors
described above. The back and forth facilitation between A
and B gets both facilitators involved and up front quickly,
keeps continuity among connected steps, divides the work load,
allows the other person a "breather" for time to
do little review and preparation, and keeps the audience more
engaged with a variety of presenting styles. We think considering
these factors in selecting the steps for each facilitator will
give the best results in your workshop. Good luck! |
