DS Class at Olympic College, Bremerton,
WA
Laurie
Adamson, Women’s Program Manager at Olympic College,
recently facilitated her first DS workshop with eight Olympic
College staff and students. “ I
just finished facilitating my first DS workshop! Whew!
A lot of work but certainly a lot of value,"
shared Laurie.
She was extremely pleased to see how well “Dependable
Strengths” was embraced by the participants. Here are
some comments from the participants’ evaluations of
this DS workshop:
“I learned about the strengths
I can count on throughout my life."
“I learned that I possessed valuable
and uniquely confined strengths that make me an asset in
most situations."
From this workshop, “I
found skills that I was strong at and realized the importance
that others place on those skills."
"I learned how to talk about (and start
to accept) the strengths which I have, that would be useful
to an employer."
“Finding my inner strengths and
knowing I don’t have to use clichés in describing
myself to potential employers. I was given the opportunity
to think of my true self worth as “I” saw it
first!!
Not others."
"This workshop was “a
great experience…. Wish I had it years ago.”
Laurie added, “We all learned
a lot and it was a tremendous success. I can’t wait
to do it (DS workshop) all again….”
