“A Life Changing Experience”

Karen Dawson, a Health Instructor at Valley View Middle School (Snohomish, WA) recently piloted a middle school version of DS and shares her story….

“Just wanted to drop you a note and tell you how beneficial
Dependable Strengths has been in my classes. This is the third
quarter I have taught this and every quarter I gain new insights
into the benefits of DS.

It has definitely been an esteem builder based on various comments
that I have received from many students. …..A student had been thinking about taking her life and after doing Lesson I, she stated that she really was worth something and she had never really realized it. She had made up her mind not to take her life. What a life changing experience!

I will continue to teach this DS unit because of these experiences.
I would really encourage any teacher to do the same.
