WHAT
A 5-day training in the Dependable Strengths Articulation Process (DSAP) for career professionals. DSAP is an 18-hour, peer-assisted, interactive process for identifying individual strengths and finding matching work.

WHEN
July 9-13, 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday

WHERE
The UW Club overlooking Lake Washington on the University of Washington Seattle campus

WHO
This training is open to all professionals in the fields of education, career counseling, and workforce development. A special reduced fee is available to attendees of the 2007 NCDA Global Conference.
(Enrollment is limited to 24.)

WHY
The Dependable Strengths Articulation Process was developed by Bernard Haldane, PhD, the pioneer of career and employment counseling in the US. DSAP has been used successfully for over 50 years and is the basis for much of modern-day career counseling. The effectiveness of the process is supported by research at the University of Washington that shows DSAP increases self-esteem, motivation and internal locus of control. It also enables individuals to find work more quickly and effectively than traditional methods. DSAP is being applied successfully in many settings (social service, education, employment, business) across the nation and around the world (in South Africa, Japan, Korea, China). It is an essential tool for any career development professional.

FEATURES
Participants will experience DSAP for themselves the first half of the week. They will identify their own unique pattern of Dependable Strengths, then learn to attract matching job offers by using the Job Magnet system of job-finding. The second half of the week they will learn to facilitate DSAP for others.
